Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest 2015!

There are so many events that happen over the summer at Lake of the Ozarks, sometimes even the locals have trouble keeping up!  The one event that always ends the summer on a positive note is the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest on September 17th- 20th.  There are several parts to Bikefest, and they occur all over the Lake.  Here's a look at what to expect this year at the great summer-end event!

Featured Bike Rides 

The Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest  features some exclusive rides through the beautiful landscape found only at Lake of the Ozarks. 

 The first of these rides is Around the Lake, which circles the main channels and spotlights the huge swath of land that the Lake covers.  The ride lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, covering 95.7 miles.

A shorter, yet arguably more scenic adventure is the ride through Bennet Springs and Ha Ha Tonka.  Coming in at 83.7 miles, this ride is shorter but the landscape is adorned with the castle ruins, huge canyons, and float trip favorite, Bennet Springs, you'll Harley, (hardly...ahem) notice the time.

 The Devil's Elbow is the longest of the three Bikefest rides, connecting Camdenton to Kaiser through several long winding and sharp turns.  Devil's Elbow is named for the dangerously sharp turn the road takes while following the Big Piney River.  This ride is the longest, ending at 115 miles.

Vendor Villages

Want to stay close instead?  No problem - Bikefest has a plethora of other things to keep you busy.  Ride out and visit the Vendor Villages, locates at 4 different places around the Lake.

  • Toad Cove
  • Campground below Bagnell Dam


Entertainment

After you finish with all the vendors, check out the amazing live entertainment venues set up all over the Lake. There are over 50 different shows going on over the course of Bikefest and over 200 bars and restaurants prepared for you and your crew to stop in and enjoy hot food and great music!  More events include:

Big things are happening at the Lake of the Ozarks! This Thursday, June 18th at 7:00 PM marks the grand opening for one of the Lake Area's hottest new attractions: the Ozarks Amphitheater !
